Amadores Beach is located to the southwest of Gran Canaria. The bay is 800 meters long and it is known for its deep blue crystalline waters, white sand and the peacefulness which offers to its visitors.
In order to keep this balance of serenity, Amadores is a non-smoking beach and playing balls is not allowed so it is perfect to unwind and recharge some holistic energy.
Amadores was formerly an uninhabited place with huge rocks which were removed to create this magnificent beach that looks like a natural pool. It is surrounded by restaurants with spectacular views serving Canarian cuisine.
In 2015 the Association of Environmental Education and Consumers (ADEAC) awarded Amadores, a disabled-friendly beach, the Blue Flag which is granted every year to those beaches that are committed to environmental initiatives such as the quality of their sea water, their environmental management, security, services and facilities:
In order to get there, just take the GC-1 highway and the exit 62 (Puerto Rico and Tauro) and follow the traffic signs to Amadores. Amadores is situated in a reasonable distance away from Gran Canaria’s main points of interest:
If you come to stay with us at Dunas Hotels & Resorts, we suggest you pay a visit to Amadores. In about 20 minutes' drive from any of our hotels in Maspalomas and San Agustín, in southern Gran Canaria, you'll enjoy this great beach. Is there a better plan than watching the sun set behind the Teide volcano over in Tenerife? It is the best way to round off a day on Amadores Beach.
Do not you know how to get there from the hotel? Here you can print the route from the hotel.
