Guayedra Beach is located in the north of Gran Canaria, near the port and town of Agaete, in the Natural Park of Tamadaba.
Maspalomas is the most emblematic beach on the island of Gran Canaria, known for its beauty and singularity. It is a natural reservation area and consists of 403 hectares of sand dunes. This unique landscape was declared “Protected area” in 1987 (nature area of national interest).
The beach of Maspalomas is doubtless one of the most visited attractions on Gran Canaria and that since already more than 30 years.
Moreover an ancient light house can be visited, that was built between 1884-1890 and served as guidance for the ships passing by Gran Canaria on their way to the American costs. Nowadays commercial activities have been developed in the surroundings of the beaches, where you can find hotels, promenades and shopping centres.
