Markets in towns and districts of Gran Canaria are part of its charm. We invite you to discover some of them.

In this space we’ll tell you about the most characteristic street markets in the southern part of the island. The most touristy areas of Gran Canaria have interesting spaces and street markets.

These are the perfect places to purchase some souvenirs, typical local products and gifts to remember your stay on the island.

Agüimes Market
It is a family-friendly atmosphere market, where tourists and locals gather together to do their grocery shopping.
Every Thursday from 8:00 to 13:00. Located right opposite the Municipal swimming pool.

Arguineguin Municipal Market
A reference point for the natives and one of the attractions of the area.
Every Tuesday from 8:00 to 14:00. Located in Calle Paco Gonzalez in Arguineguin (Mogán).

San Bartolome de Tirajana’ Municipal Market
San Fernando is one of the most family orientated areas of southern Gran Canaria, so, you will get the chance to mix with the locals’ everyday life. It is held every fortnight, on Sundays from 8:00 to 13:30. Located on the skating rink of San Fernando, Maspalomas.

Playa de Mogan Municipal Market
If there is something which characterizes this market it is not as much what they sell but the place where it’s held. It is surrounded by the marina and the most prominent area of ​​Mogán, so you may enjoy an idyllic walk through its streets and stalls.
Every Friday from 8:00 to 14:00. Located in the Marina de Mogán.

The small market
Another one among the most successful markets in the southern part of the island of Gran Canaria. It is a small and very charming market.
Every Monday from 9:30 to 15:00. Located in the carpark of Mogán’s beach.

Other street markets you’ll find in the south of Gran Canaria are:
Playa del Ingles Market
Every day, except Sundays, from 19:30 to 23:30. Located near the mini train.
Agricultural and Livestock Market of Maspalomas
Alternate Sundays (one Sunday is held in Puerto Rico and the next one in Maspalomas), from 8:30 to 14:00.
The Market at El Portón Shopping Center
Mondays and Saturdays from 8:00 to 14:00. Located in Calle Las Retamas, in San Agustín.
San Fernando Market
Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00 to 14:00. Located in San Fernando, Maspalomas
Vecindario’s Agricultural Market
Mondays from 8:00 to 14.00. Located in Recinto Ferial in Vecindario.
Vecindario’s Traditional Market
Wednesdays from 8:00 to 14:00. Located in Recinto Ferial in Vecindario.
