Diana Christensen lives in Troisdorf, a German town near Köln and Bonn. She has been visiting us since 2002 and is one of our most loyal guests. We have interviewed Ms. Christensen, to find out what is it that attracts her every year to Dunas Hotels & Resorts and the island of Gran Canaria.
Hi Diana, how long have you been visiting us at Dunas Hotels & Resorts?
I came for the first time to Mirador Maspalomas in 2002 and ever since I have come back every year. At the beginning I used to come with my husband and daughter in October and, some years, my daughter and I came back also in summertime.
What was it that started drawing you into the island of Gran Canaria in those first visits? What would be the places that you’d recommend to those tourists who visit us for the first time?
What impressed me the most in the beginning were the Dunes of Maspalomas and visiting the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. We also like walking along Playa del Inglés, and going to the Cita shopping centre, etc.
Would you recommend any restaurant that you like?
Yes, we really like The Senator, especially my husband.
What do you like most about the hotel that makes you coming back every year?
Without any doubt, the friendliness of the team. They always welcome us with great kindness, so much so, that they feel like family and we look forward to seeing them every year.
Would you like to highlight the good work of anyone in the team?
Indeed! Every member of the team makes us feel at home, but perhaps we would highlight Pepi, Angela, José, Olga ... and I could carry on naming all of them really.
