Another golf tournament in Gran Canaria was a full success!
The second edition of the Dunas Hotels & Resorts Golf Tournament was held on Saturday 22nd June at the emblematic Maspalomas Golf course, and it was a resounding success that broke records for participation and excitement! 90 golf enthusiasts gathered in this green paradise to enjoy an unforgettable day full of sportsmanship, fellowship and an unbeatable atmosphere.
Óscar Sánchez: the master of the green is crowned absolute champion
The player Óscar Sánchez demonstrated his mastery on the green and won the absolute victory of the tournament in the scratch category, with a score of 65 strokes! Sánchez delighted the audience with 8 birdies throughout the course, confirming his exceptional talent and crowning himself as the king of the II Dunas Hotels & Resorts Golf Tournament.
In the other categories, the excitement was also at its peak
- First category: No Kang won with 40 points, demonstrating his great skill in the game.
- Second category: Isidro Morales conquered the podium with 41 points, after a hard-fought battle.
- Third category: Juan Manuel Vallejo was crowned champion with 39 points, the result of his strategy and precision.
- First female category: Tamara Brito reigned supreme on the course with 40 points, making clear her mastery of the game.
- Second female category: Anke Kremmling won the title with 29 points, thanks to her talent and perseverance.
- Best senior: Kweon Jung-Woo won this category, proving that age is not an obstacle to enjoy golf at the highest level.
The winners won the prize of playing the grand final of the XXVI Maspalomas Golf Circuit to be held at the same venue on the 1st of September. They were also presented with vouchers for a stay at Dunas Hotels & Resorts, Jaguar watches, green fees at Maspalomas Golf and golf equipment from Taylor Made, Bridgestone and Galvin Green.
The prize-giving ceremony took place at the best villa hotel, where a cocktail and a show by the entertainment team of the Suites & Villas and raffles awaited the winners on arrival.
