Playa de Maspalomas
Maspalomas Beach is a landmark of southern Gran Canaria. It is the tourist heart of the island. Its fine white sand piles up creating the renowned Maspalomas Dunes; it’s a very long beach. Playa de Las Canteras
If you visit the capital of the island, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, you can’t miss the opportunity of going to Playa de Las Canteras. It is one of the best urban beaches in the country and is the jewel of the city. It is protected by a natural reef known as La Barra. You can go for a long walk or go jogging for more than the 3 kilometers that Las Canteras beach offers you or, if you prefer practicing water sports you can go surfing or diving, among others. Later on, why not regaining some energy in any of the taverns and restaurants that are lined up along the beach’ promenade and taste some Canarian cuisine.
Animal lovers will be captivated visiting Palmitos Park. It's a perfect and handy plan, since in just 20 minutes by car from our hotels in Maspalomas you will be surrounded by stunning live birds, fish, reptiles, mammals and other species that will delight both adults and the younger ones of the family. Moreover, Palmitos Park has impressive shows, educational workshops, and leisure service area with restaurants, photography and store. It is definitely one of the essential plans in Gran Canaria.
If you like adventure you must go to Roque Nublo located in Tejeda. It is the guardian of Gran Canaria. You can hike about one hour following the path to the foot of the Roque. Along the trek you’ll enjoy seeing various animal and flora species such as the kestrel, and the Canarian vegetation, like the beautiful almond blossoms. Once you've reached the top, you'll be surrounded by the breathtaking views of the island.
