Dunas Club

In 2011 the Dunas group celebrated its 25th business anniversary. The company was established in 1986 by Ángel Luis Tadeo, a native of a modest family on the Canary Islands, who grew up in the district San José in Las Palmas. After having graduated as an architect and having worked several years as construction manager, he dared his first step as businessman by establishing the Dunas company in 1986 and by dedicating himself to tourism. His concept consisted in offering spacious hotel and apartments areas with a high level of mobility and independence.

The bungalow complex Maspalomas Dunas was the first hotel of the Dunas group that represented this philosophy. In the year 1996, the company built the Dunas Suites&Villas Resort, just next to the Maspalomas Dunas, in a very open and extremely green environment, that offers Suites, Senior Suites and Villas which provides free space and intimacy at the same time, with a big variety of pools and activities appropriate for families.
The hotel Dunas Mirador Maspalomas became part of the group in 1997 and offered the concept "all inclusive" from the very first. Its characteristic is the active entertainment program for adults and children, that takes place in the large pool area. It provides amusement  and stimulates the contact among the participants at the same time. In the year 1998 the group bought the hotel Don Gregory, a hotel in a classical style, but with a perfect location directly at the beach of "Las Burras" in San Agustín, and with a wonderful view of the Atlantic from nearly every room and every Suite.

The founder passed away unexpectedly in January 2011, but the second generation  follows the same path and remain true to the philosophy of his father. Do not miss the opportunity to watch the video about this unique event, available on our website!
