Climate
The climate on Gran Canaria is pleasant throughout the year.
The average daytime highs range from 20ºC in winter, to 26ºC in summer. Some cool nights occur in winter, but lows below 10ºC are unknown near the coast. Hot south-easterly winds from the Sahara can push temperatures above 38ºC on rare occasions, but these conditions do not normally last long. Summers are generally quite sunny however, with the south of the island being most favoured.
